The most intimate relationship for a black women is the relationship that she has with herself. This relationship has saved lives and healed generations upon generations. The process to this deepening of self love is inspired from childhood memories of a Sunday kind of love. In black families, we grew up where Sundays were an intimate day for us. Representing rest and trust, it was a day where we communed over the most delicious and soulful meals. We were able to drop in~to the present moment unbothered by the grind of everyday work life. Trust – in black culture is a militant guru and a complex phenomenon because of the transatlantic slave trade. Our arrival to America was not by choice.
Our external environments were completely unknown and the American capitalistic system and the power grid was not designed for us to thrive. And this foreign country, this foreign language, the foreign soil that we would soon till and cultivate, how could one trust? What was there to trust?
From the molecules of the soil, the molecules of the blood and sweat from our hands, along with the ocean of tears from our eyes – we now have an intimate relationship with this Land in America. Does this not speak to the resilient evolutionary nature of the mind body and spirit of generations of humans. We now know that trust for us, as black humans, only comes from the deep excavation of the relationship one creates from within. As a black women this inner trust is slow growing because of our profound nature and affirms the intuitive nature of our being-ness. Just as long as we learn to channel the super powers of the forecast of our emotions. We are rich vibrant beings that must never look to another for validation or comparisons about who we are. To see one self deeply compassionately and intensely is an energy generating experience that ultimately transcends space, time and the humans in between.
When black women are well, the world is well. One might first feel defensive about this phrase but if you can pause and take a deep breath and know our own worth inside of the lived American experience we each can come to this statement more empathetic and compassionate in our hearts. Based on the data and the magnitude of this journey in the black woman’s body we had to evolve in a way that is unmeasurable specifically when it comes to intrinsic unwavering and perpetual care. The world is well when black women are well because we have sharpened our capacity to care for everyone despite our own suffering, despite even receiving anything in return physically or financially. We have a new found awareness that we have always been held by the law of nature and we are abundant spiritually.
The seed of replenish is a transformative force of knowing thyself first, family, community and then out into the world. We are black women visionaries and we recognize and honor that all women deserve deep intentional care. It must, however, be truly equitable from the root. So, we always create from this space, our roots.
Yoga and beauty for everyday life is this idea manifested from our own real lived experience. Two sisters and a mother birthed this seed. Black family owned and operated and now it is held by a diverse leadership circle of women who walk along side us. Replenish is multi dimensional, multi cultural, multi sensory and multi layered. We are a space for conscious exchange not conscious capitalism. There is a fundamental difference. The recipe for healing our nation through economics is through caring intrinsically and thoughtfully for the way in which we exchange energy. To be in an industry of healthy physical touch – is a sacred calling. We are immensely grateful to be called to this work and that is why we continue to stay blessed.
As black women entrepreneurs we have defied all of the walls of capitalism’s warping nature which includes not ever wanting the carrot in the first place. We have our own dreams and desires that no one else can dream. We dream with our anscestors. We receive guidance from listening and receiving messages from our cells vibrating, humming and collaborating in different chakra points (energy centers) of our human body.
Black history is teaching America how to care; How to be more thoughtful and inclusive; and How to be more creative in our healing. Black history includes caring for every human in a way that provokes healing from right where you stand. Black history is always in the now because our past and future exist in our ability to collect the data from our cellular structures, the embedded codes in our DNA is the realest spiritual reparation, especially living in the spirit of this era of time.
This month we get real intimate, intentional and curious with this powerful question ‘how can we create a healthier relationship within the self?’ This relationship with self is the most divine marriage we will have as beings in this human experience. Here at replenish we are on a quest to uncover sacred unions that are possible because of the intimate relationship we have with self. Conscious coupling is not about good or bad within the partnership but more about growing awareness honestly and compassionately within the paradox of life. This months excavation is also about how do we intertwine with nature in harmony instead of force or control? How can we open up to many paths of knowledge to deepen our intelligence and connection to our individual contribution to this shared purpose of creating a healthy humanhood? How can we accept the human body as a temple and from that space begin the alchemic process of evolution? We are living in a complex and liberating time. Freedom is the hardest to obtain because it cannot be solved by war. At replenish We are awakened by the sacral chakra and educating the power of restoration for our hearts recovery.
This month we are in the precipice of a Sunday kind of love -a divine love from the cellular structures of our sacred divine order. As black women we choose to restore our hearts. We honor the capacity and endurance that it provides our everyday lives. How does this resonate with all the women across the globe? How does this resonate with you? We may have different leadership responsibilities in this evolution and we are in this together.
Enjoy the ecosystem of your cellular structures it’s circular shape of profound wonder. Everything you need to evolve is in you not on you.
